In all of the United States, you will find RV parks in many different locations.  Each of the 50 states has an RV park and these areas are also separated into a few major regions.  When exploring the country, it is a good idea to know which region you would like to travel to and which RV park will be right for your needs.

Six naturals regions in the United States makeup the best regions for finding your RV park, RV resort or RV campground.  The West, Southwest, New England, Mid Atlantic, South and Midwest makeup these regions of the United States.  American history and geography worked to form these regions giving them all very unique characteristics.

Where to look for the ideal RV campsite depends on what you need and want.  There are many types of RV campsites.  Most locations with hookups for water and sewer will have a fee to offer their services, but there are also free camping locations.  The free camping locations, in most cases, allow the visitor more of a camping experience.  There are RV campsites managed by the USDA Forest Service, the Nation Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management to keep in mind.

RV Park Resources

National Park Service RV campgrounds can be found in many of the more beautiful parts of the United States.  Scenery and historic location are two ways to describe the majority of National Park Service Campgrounds.

United States Forest Service and USDA Forest Service RV parks and campgrounds offer more camping locations with a variety of camping and RV connection locations.  In all there are over 4,200 campgrounds in the United States making your options for finding a RV park and campground with the USDA Forest Service in your preferred location very likely.

Lakes around the US will also create that perfect RV camp site and park.  There are about 400 lakes that are administered by the Army Corps of Engineers.  If you are looking for scenery, there is no better place to start then with lakes.  Lakes can be a great destination for RV camping. The Bureau of Land Management also has many RV camping locations.  These RV park locations will not be located around water, but more in the mountain and desert areas of the US.  These RV locations also have RV parks for long term visitors, if you would like to stay a while.

Other beautiful areas to visit are the many State Parks.  State Parks are superb recreation destinations and can offer all of the amenities any RV park can in certain locations.  Many State Parks are located in some of the more attractive destinations in the US.
