Pictures and Motorhomes

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

Recently I’ve come across several different blogs from RVers and other travel enthusiasts and there is one common theme with all of them; No matter how they prefer to travel they all took tons and tons of photographs. Taking pictures is not only a great way to remember your trip, but it can help you share those memories with others and inspire more great ideas.

What To Catalog?

You don’t have to be a professional photographer capture a moment. The key to getting a great pictures is just taking as many as possible. If you have new decorations or furniture inside then take some pictures. One blogger took several photos of his RV repair and talked about the costs of ownership. His post was full of useful information and will undoubtedly help someone with their questions in the future.

Another blog I came across was done by a woman who had taken pictures of her families first RV road trip. Remembering the kids falling asleep on the couch, or board games spread across the table can bring a smile to your face. She also had done some RV renovation on her interior and posted before and after pictures. Her ideas were very innovative and inspiring. What you post doesn’t have to be groundbreaking for others to find it interesting, just share what is important to you.

Helpful Tips Online

One of the biggest benefits of blogging about your experiences with RVing is that you may be able to help someone out in the future who comes across a similar situation as you have. There are hundreds of people writing about ways they have found to overcome problems, and their stories which become very useful bits of information for others with questions.

At RV Renovators we try to post helpful articles filled with tips and suggestions for improving  your RV experience. What About RV Tire Blow-outs?

If you have experienced a RV tire blow-out then there’s a good chance that more damage could have been done than what it seems on the surface. Due the fact that a number of components are located within the wheel wells of a RV there is a good chance that something will be damaged in the case of a blow-out.

Even the sheer weight of the RV or Motorhome can cause the actual wheel itself to bend. When you experience a blow-out it is important to have your RV inspected as soon as possible to make sure that you can avoid further complications down the road.

Pre-trip Inspection

If it’s been a while since you’ve had your RV out on the road then you may want to have a pre-trip inspection performed. At RV Renovators we thoroughly go over every component of the RV to make sure that everything is in proper working order.

No matter what the job is, our number one goal is safety. We will work hard to earn your business and want you to feel confident that your RV is in the best hands. Top 3 Ways to Renovate Your RV or Motorhome

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

A RV or Motorhome is a great way to travel and experience the open road. Most Motorhomes will travel thousands of miles and get many hours of use. If you’re like most RV owners and plan on spending a lot of time in your RV then you’ll want to make sure it is exactly what you want.

The problem for most people though, is that purchasing a brand new RV and upgrading it will all the bells and whistles can be really expensive. One of the best solutions then would be to by a used RV and then renovate it to meet your needs. At RV Renovators we have over 35 years experience renovating RVs to meet the high standards of their owners.

3 Main Areas To Focus On

You can get the most bang for your buck and transform your Motorhome into the coach of your dreams by focusing on 3 main areas of renovation:

1. Flooring- There are hundreds of options when it comes to choosing new flooring for your RV. By installing hardwood or tile floors you can really change the look and feel of your RV. Hardwood and tile floors are not only beautiful but also much easier to keep clean than carpet. However, if you love the look and feel of carpet then that isn’t a problem either. We recommend choosing a carpet that has a low tight weave to make it easier to clean.

2. Cabinets- At RV Renovators we can remodel your existing cabinets or help you pick out and install all new cabinetry. Custom cabinets really compliment new flooring and can actually increase functionality. By strategically remodeling cabinets you can increase your amount of storage space and add a lot of style to your coach.

3. Furniture- The 3rd main area of focus for RV renovation is the furniture. Making sure that your furniture not only looks good, but is comfortable as well is a must for long trips. The furniture is kind of like the icing on your cake of renovation. There are a lot of options when it comes to furniture and we can help you pick out pieces to meet your needs.

RV Vacation

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

One of the best ways to spend time with the entire family is to take a RV vacation. Traveling by RV is a great way to experience the beautiful scenery that each state has to offer. There are several great resources online that list all sorts of wonderful RV parks and destinations.

Motorhomes and RVs can be very addictive. It seems that the more time you spend traveling in one the less you will want to use any other means of transportation. Sure airplanes are great for getting somewhere quickly, but it’s important to remember that life is about the journey. A RV can help you learn to better appreciate that journey and really live in the moment.

Why Not Take a Car on a Road Trip?

Some might say that the best way to do a road trip is with a big comfortable sedan. I would argue that if comfort and convenience is what you’re after then a Motorhome or RV is the only way to go. You see, when you travel in a Motorhome you don’t have to worry about stopping for fast food because you have a kitchen right on board with you.

In a RV, entertainment is never an issue because most coaches are fitted with flat screen TVs, DVD players, and premium stereos. Plug in your iPod, crank the stereo and you’ve got reason to celebrate. There’s plenty of room to comfortably seat the entire family which means you can forget about scrunching in the back seat with your feet on the hump.

Can I Make it Luxurious?

A RV or Motorhome can be made as luxurious as you can imagine. You can pick out your favorite wood or tile floors, upgrade the cabinets, and even choose custom furniture. As well one of the best features with a RV is the fact that you have your own bathroom. Never again will you need to use a rest stop restroom.

If you get a bit drowsy you can head to the back and plop down on your queen size mattress for a rest. At night time you won’t have to check into your hotel and pull your clothing out of your suit cases. You can turn on your favorite movie, convert the seats to their most comfortable settings, and enjoy being together.

RV Renovators is the number one Phoenix RV repair shop, and we can help you get your RV ready for your next family vacation. (480) 818-5904

Travel The World

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

The dream to set out and travel the world is something that most of us can relate to. The ability to get on the road and drive until our hearts content brings a sense of freedom and excitement. On a trip like that, you’d truly feel like the world is your oyster. So the question is then, what kind of vehicle does it take to complete such a journey? Well a RV or Motorhome of course!

When you set out in a RV or Motorhome to travel with friends or family, the real confidence comes from knowing that you have everything you could ever need right at your finger tips. If you get tired then all you have to do is pull over, walk to the back, and lie down on your queen size bed.

Feeling a bit hungry? That’s not a problem either. There are several different RV models that come with full kitchens that allow you to cook a proper meal without having to go through the drive-thru for a greasy pizza burger. You can store your favorite foods in the refrigerator or use the cabinets that provide ample storage.

What if You Get the Sudden Urge To Watch a Movie?

What kind of a trip would it be if you couldn’t throw on Remember The Titans or one of the your other favorite films? Thankfully you’ll be hard pressed to find a RV that doesn’t have a TV and DVD player. Whether or not the TV is current with modern electronics, however, is another story.

If you’re feeling like your TV is a bit out of date then you may want to consider renovating your RV cabinets to house newer model flat screen TVs. At RV Renovators we have over 35 years experiences renovating RVs and we’re confident that we can get your coach ready for your next big trip.

Great Big RV Family

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

One of the greatest parts about owning a RV, besides traveling the world at your own pace, is the sense of comradery that is shared between RV enthusiasts. No matter how simple or elaborate your setup is, RV owners respect other RVers. This means that they help each other out, share stories of their favorite trips, and they even blog about the latest and greatest.

This network or community of RV owners can really come in handy when you’re looking for advice you can trust. Most of these people have been to hundreds of campsites, dealt with numerous repair shops, and know exactly what it takes to make your trip amazing.

The Best Advice

It’s true that owning a Motorhome can get quite expensive. There are several components that must all work together to ensure your comfort and safety. But how do you know who to trust when it comes to choosing a quality RV repair shop? Why not ask your friends and fellow RVers!

Take RV Renovators, a Phoenix RV repair shop for example, and consider the amount of visitors they get. Every year thousands of people head to Arizona for the winter to escape the cold climates where they live. There is a good chance that more than a few of them have stopped by for one thing or another. Talk with them and see what their thoughts are about the shop.

By getting advice from friends and other RV owners you can get unbiased information that you can trust. Which is exactly why being part of the RV community is so great. It’s almost an unwritten yet completely understood and shared principle of helping out others.

Traveling in Comfort

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Motorhomes and RVs are two of the best ways to travel in comfort. If you’ve never gone on a RV road trip then it’s something you have to do to truly appreciate. When you’re traveling with a RV you don’t feel as rushed to “make good time” and get to your destination, because you’re bringing all the convenience of home with you.

If you’re thinking about renovating your RV, so that it can better fit your needs, then one of the best areas to focus on would be furniture. Since comfort plays a bit part in how much you enjoy your travels you may want to consider replacing your RV furniture. There are several options when it comes to furniture and there are styles to meet everyone’s tastes.

The Benefits of Being a Passenger

While some may love to drive, in my opinion one of the best ways to experience a RV trip is from the passenger seat. This is where you truly come to appreciate the features of a Motorhome. As a passenger you can:

  • Make yourself a snack- Thanks to the fact that you have a kitchen in your RV you can store all sorts of food. As long as the road isn’t too bumpy you can get up and make a nice treat without having to stop and go to a drive-thru.
  • Use the Restroom- Finding a suitable place to go to the bathroom while you’re on the road can be stressful and embarrassing. With Motorhomes you can use the restroom with all the privacy you’d expect at home.
  • Watch a Movie- Most RVs comes with TVs so that you can put on your favorite movie. Just grab that snack you made, go to the bathroom before the movie starts, and relax on the couch for the show.
  • Take a Nap- If you’re feeling a little sleepy then why not head back to the bedroom and take a nap! It is not uncommon for a full-size Motorhome to have a queen size bed for your comfort. When you wake up you could even be in a different state.

Buy Old and Renovate

If you’re looking for the comfort and style of a brand new RV but don’t want to spend the money, then you can purchased a used RV and then renovate it to fit your personal needs and style preferences. At RV Renovators we can help you customize your RV and turn it into your dream coach.

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

We all lead very busy lives, and sometimes the stress can really start to add up. Handling work schedules while still maintaining your sanity can be a tall order. What all RVers look forward to, to relieve that stress, is their next road-trip; A chance to hit the open road, clear your mind, and do some exploring. Most RV owners and enthusiasts agree that there is nothing more fulfilling than making your own adventure.

How to Prepare for the Next Trip:

Even though you may be chomping at the bit wanting to leave, there are several things that you need to check before you can go. You will want to inspect each of the follow things before you hit the road:

  • Roof Seals
  • Refrigerator
  • Roof AC Units
  • Water heater
  • Window seals
  • Tire wear
  • Air pressure
  • Generator oil change
  • Battery house and chassis system
  • Leveling system
  • Toilet
  • Furnace

  • And any other components that may be on the roof

A Helping Hand
